During the year there are all kinds of activities; concerts, exhibitions, etc. Lipnice nad Sazávou is well known because the writer Jaroslav Hasek, worked and lived here. In the old days, around Lipnice, there were a lot of granit mines, one is still active. The old mines are left, and the holes, where they took the granit from, have become small lakes, they look very nice and in summer you can have a swim in it. (it is very cold water.)
